Terms of Use

By downloading, accessing, or using the app you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and AutoJo regarding your use of the app.

This agreement is between you and AutoJo only, and not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. AutoJo, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the app and its content.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or transact through the app.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, and keep it up to date.
• You must verify your mobile phone number by SMS before you can use most features of the app. You are responsible for any charges your mobile operator applies to that message.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may hold only one account unless we agree otherwise in writing. You may not sell, transfer, or share your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Account. Deletion is described in our Privacy Policy.

AutoJo operates a marketplace platform with several distinct areas. In every one of them, AutoJo is a venue that connects users with one another — we are not a party to the transactions that result.

• Car plates and phone numbers — listings and requests posted by users who wish to buy or sell distinguished plates and VIP phone numbers.
• Used cars — vehicle listings posted by users, with photos and specifications.
• AutoJo car services — service listings published by approved service providers, which you can book and pay for in the app.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of anything you list, including photographs, prices, and descriptions.
• You must have the legal right to sell or transfer whatever you list, and the transfer of car plates and phone numbers must comply with all applicable Jordanian laws and the rules of the relevant authority or operator.
• Transactions for plates, phone numbers, and cars take place directly between buyer and seller. AutoJo does not take possession of items, does not process the payment between the parties, and is not an agent, broker, or party to the sale.
• AutoJo does not verify, guarantee, or endorse the quality, safety, legality, or availability of any listed item, or the truth of any listing.
• Posting or promoting a listing may require tickets, as described below.
• We may remove, hide, or refuse any listing at our discretion, including where it breaches these Terms or applicable law.

When you book a car service through AutoJo, you enter into a contract for that service with the service provider, not with AutoJo. AutoJo facilitates discovery, booking, scheduling, and payment, and provides the platform on which the provider operates.

• The provider is solely responsible for performing the service, for its quality and safety, for holding any licence or insurance required, and for any damage arising from its work.
• Prices, service options, durations, and any warranty are set by the provider and displayed in the app before you confirm an order.
• Some services are matched to your saved vehicle. You are responsible for the accuracy of the vehicle details you save, and a mismatch may cause a provider to decline or reprice an order.
• An order passes through several states, which you can follow in the app. A provider may decline or cancel an order; you may cancel in accordance with the cancellation terms shown at the time of booking, and you may be asked for a cancellation reason.
• Disputes about a service are between you and the provider. We will make reasonable efforts to help resolve them, and may suspend or remove a provider whose conduct breaches these Terms, but we are not liable for the provider's performance.

If you apply to become a service provider, the following additional terms apply to you.

• You must submit an application, including business details and any proof we request. Applications are reviewed by us and may be approved or rejected at our discretion, and approval may take several days.
• You must hold every licence, permit, registration, and insurance policy required to provide your services in Jordan, and you must keep them valid.
• You are an independent business. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between you and AutoJo.
• You must honour the prices, options, availability, and any warranty you publish, and perform booked services with reasonable skill and care.
• The number of services you may publish, and the badge and visibility applied to your profile, depend on your provider plan.
• A verified badge indicates that we have reviewed the documents you supplied. It is not a warranty by AutoJo of your work, and we may remove it at any time.
• We may suspend or remove your provider profile, your listings, or your account for breach of these Terms, repeated cancellations, or conduct that harms users.

The app uses two in-app currencies, both purchased as one-time in-app purchases or granted with a subscription.

• Tickets are used to post and renew listings. Tickets purchased in the app do not expire.
• Feature tickets are used to promote a listing to the top of feeds and featured sections for a fixed period of 7, 14, or 30 days.
• Tickets and feature tickets have no cash value, are not money or a stored-value instrument, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred or sold to another user.
• Once a ticket is spent on a listing or a promotion, it is consumed and is not refundable, including where you later delete the listing or it is removed for breach of these Terms.
• We may change the price of ticket packs, and the number of tickets included with any subscription, on notice. Tickets already in your balance are not affected by a price change.
• Unused tickets are forfeited if you delete your account or if we terminate it for breach.

AutoJo offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions. Membership plans give users a monthly allowance of tickets and feature tickets, a verification badge, and other benefits. Provider plans allow service providers to publish services and receive orders. Each plan is offered on a monthly or a yearly billing period.

Ticket and feature-ticket allowances granted by a subscription are made available for each billing period while the subscription is active. They are subject to the ticket terms in section 7.

• In-app purchases and subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, in the currency of your store account. In some territories, including Jordan, Apple bills in US dollars; the amount shown on the store purchase sheet is the amount you pay.
• Service bookings are paid through our payment processor. AutoJo does not receive or store your full card details.
• Refunds for in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by AutoJo. Requests should be made to the relevant store.
• Refunds for a booked service are a matter between you and the provider, subject to the cancellation terms shown when you booked and to applicable Jordanian consumer law.
• Prices may change. Changes to a subscription price take effect from the next billing period, and where required we will notify you and give you the opportunity to cancel before the change applies.
• You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchases other than taxes on our income.

• You may rate and review a provider after a completed service. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience.
• You may not post a review in exchange for payment or benefit, review your own business, or post a review intended to damage a competitor.
• Providers may not require, incentivise, or condition service on a favourable review.
• We may remove reviews that breach these Terms, and may suspend accounts that manipulate ratings.

You retain ownership of the photographs, text, and other material you upload. By uploading it, you grant AutoJo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and publish that material for the purpose of operating and promoting the app and its marketplace.

You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to everything you upload, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups for a limited period, and except where the content has been shared with other users.

You must not:

• post false, inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent information, listings, or prices;
• list anything you do not have the right to sell, or anything whose sale or transfer is unlawful in Jordan;
• use the app for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering or the evasion of any registration or tax obligation;
• impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
• harass, threaten, defame, or abuse another user or provider;
• circumvent the app to avoid fees, including soliciting a user to complete a booked service outside the app in order to avoid charges;
• attempt to bypass security measures, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the operation of the app;
• upload malware, or use bots or automated means to access the app;
• collect other users' personal information other than as necessary to complete a transaction.

You can report a listing, a user, or a provider from within the app, and you can contact our support team directly. We review reports and may remove content, suspend accounts, or take other action. We do not undertake to review all content before it is published.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app, immediately and without prior notice, where you breach these Terms, where we are required to do so by law, or where your conduct risks harm to other users or to AutoJo. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

Termination does not entitle you to a refund of tickets, feature tickets, or any unused part of a subscription period, and does not affect obligations you have already incurred to another user or provider.

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AutoJo disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AutoJo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app; from any transaction with another user or with a provider; or from any service performed or not performed by a provider. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to AutoJo in the twelve months preceding the claim, or fifty Jordanian dinars.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the applicable law of Jordan, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Where you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, the following applies. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app. Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, and in the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, or discharge of any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms Apple will have the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary. An equivalent position applies to Google LLC in respect of the app obtained from Google Play.

You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The competent courts of Amman, Jordan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app, save that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent jurisdiction. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Where a change is material, we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect, and will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, you should stop using the app and may delete your account.
